Stena Line luggage allowance
Stena Line describes what you can bring instead of publishing measurements. Their rule is shown below in their own words, and never turned into a yes or no.
What Stena Line says
Stena Line, in their own words
If you are travelling by car there is no limit to the amount of luggage you can carry in your vehicle as it will remain in your vehicle on our car deck. For foot passengers travelling to Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Latvia and Poland, there is no limit on the amount of luggage you can bring with you, however you need to be able to carry it onboard yourself. For foot passengers travelling to Ireland and to the UK from Ireland, there is no limit to the amount of luggage you can bring with you, however, hand luggage must be no larger than 60cm x 50cm x 40cm and you must be able to carry it yourself. If you are travelling with luggage that is larger than this it must be checked-in prior to boarding. Your luggage will be safely stowed during the sailing and can be collected upon arrival in the terminal. You will not be able to access your luggage during the sailing so please ensure you remove all necessary items before checking it in. If you are travelling by foot or by Rail & Sail on our Harwich-Hook of Holland route, you may take as much luggage as you like, as long as you can carry it onboard yourself. Passengers travelling on a day trip on our Irish Sea routes may carry one piece of small hand luggage. Any additional pieces of luggage will be charged at our discretion.
Before you rely on this
An empty field on this page means the operator doesn't publish that figure. It never means there is no limit.
Meeting a published limit is not a promise that staff will accept your bag at the gate. At least one operator states that paying at the gate does not guarantee a bag over the limit will be carried.
